Drugging Foster Children We’ve known for a long time that children are being overly medicated in foster care. State lawmakers seem very resistant to making laws to prevent this, probably because of pressure from the pharmaceutical industry. Meanwhile thousands of children are mentally injured by psychotropic drugs after being placed in “chemical restraints” to control and subdue them. Recently – just last April – a drugged seven-year-old foster child in Florida took his own life, and once again the spotlight is on this issue. Florida legislators, feeling the heat, are making the motions to do something about this. I looked through the FightCPS archives and found the same issue discussed in the news in 2001 and 2004, in Florida. They didn’t do anything about it then. What makes anyone think they’ll do it now? I’ve had this issue bubbling under the surface of my usually calm demeanor for many months. Make that years. Well.. today I let it out. I compiled my research, found numerous YouTube videos exposing the matter, and put it all on one page, which you’re now welcome to visit: Drugging Foster Children.     My 10 year old son has been in foster care going on 3 yrs now, unlike his little sister the cps will not place him back home. They claim he is a danger to his almost 5 yr old sister,witch is very not true… Back to the subject since placement they have had my son heavly medicated, in order to controll him… before he was placed in foster care he was not on meds, a little hipper yes, but no need for meds… Now my son is drugged and im told its not my choice, after i made enough comments on his med in takes, saddly last july my visits where taken and i have had only been allowed to write to him… What do I do I just want my son home safe with his family, where he wants to be…. His little sister misses him so much, and nigther of them understand why he cant come home… As a matter of fact nighter can I…. i always thought if a parent got one child placed back home, you would get both, PLEASE HELP OUR FAMILY BEFORE ITS TO LATE!!!!!

      Hi my name is Tiffany and I am a mother of five children and I to am in the same situation. My two older children were taken by CPS and in that process I became pregnant with twins which they forced me to give up for adoption and then try to take the twins from the adoptive family we picked out. The adoptive family won and during the adoption process I found out I was pregnant with my youngest son. They ended up termating my parental rights on my older children and they our now medicating my daughter on antidepressants because she don’t want to live with the foster family and she is only four. They say I have no decision making rights and they alowed my newborn son live with me for three weeks before having another county take him. Like you Im desperately seeking help for a lawsuit and for my appeal to save my children from harm. The foster parent has 7DUIs and Resisting arrest and forced my children to call him daddy the first night they lived there. I have been searching for 3 years for someone to help me and have not found any help and three years till today I have been in the same case. I was told the best way to seek help is from an attorney that specializes in family case if you have lots of money which unfortunately my family does not have. Today I suffer from severe depression which I have never had any medical issues before this case opened and I hope for you and your children the best of hope and my prayers are with you.

      hello i am in a somewhat situation like you they have my six kids ages 8 to 2 i am in the process of getting them back just today i went on a visit and my 8 year old son wasnt hisself my 7 year old sone told me that the foster mother was giving him pills they been asking me to consent i been saying no the director of the agency went behind my back and allowed the foster parents to give my son the medicine if it wasnt for my 7 year old i would have never known is there any kind of help you can give me it will be very appreciated they are drugging my son because he wants to come home and i dont believe that is fair my email is tamika52@yahoo.com all help is appreciated

    I’m a grandmother of a child who at the time who was two and a half years of age.
    Now she’s nine yrs old, at the age of two and a half she was taken to the psychiatric hospital because supposingly, the foster parents found her not to be in her right mental frame of mind. This child have been dragged through three
    foster homes and traumatized in the hands of the CPS system why? she never wanted
    to be in any of these homes. Now this child is on medications and i call this
    Capitalism to make money off our children, and i also call this an infrastructure
    of Communism when one has no say and interest of their children and when one cares not to listen to us or to you……God Bless You

    My son also was a DRUGGED BY CPS AND THE FOSTER PARENTS..I found out this children are “DAMAGED GOODS” of course they receive more money..my son at age 5 yrs was put on ZOLOFT and he’s eyes sad and lost and he started wanting to kill him-self..No one cared and no one would help us..finally they they took him off that and put him on ADHD MEDS. The department use this to get a so called play Therapist which followed up with a report stating i should loss visit’s with my son and be Terminated..My attorney said if i was to try and STOP all this MED ABUSE from happening..The Department of Human Services would charge me with MEDICAL ABUSE FOR STEPPING IN AGAINST A DOCTORS ORDER..These People did Not even have my Permission to take my son to any of these/WHORES OF THE COURT. I was told after-ward and after the had already got the pills for him to take. Now i’m Terminated and haven’t see or talked to my son since Jan 27 2011…These cps Workers DRUG CHILDREN/KIDNAP CHILDREN/ SELL CHILDREN/ ARE SERIAL KILLERS OF CHILDREN/ THIS IS A ORGANIZED CRIME OPERATION..Please join our http://www.govabuse.org Protest Aug 12 2011

    it happening in uk too children ripped from their mothers on false allegations i am a mother of 6 children 2 years ago i was seriously assaulted by my ex it was mental,physical and emotion finally he nearly killed me thought that was the end to my nightmare but no they ground me into the ground instead of helping me then took the only thing that mattered to me in the whole world my 4 beautiful children i have watched my children suffer my daughters words sill rip my hear to pieces after an access 2 weeks ago she was hysterical i want my mummy give me my mummy i want my mummy the very people who are supposed to help are not there to help they are there to launder our children

    My daughter had 4 of her children taken by the so-called CPS. The worker who handled her case was told by a judge, after my daughter completed their demands, to give them back and leave her alone. This judge then retired and a new judge got paid to have them taken again! There was no legal reason for this. The CPS worker has over 35 lawsuits against her at this time. By my own investigations, I found out she got $20,000 per child. She has left the country. I have seen my grandson so depressed from medication that he seems like another child! Of course they hit families that can’t afford good attorneys. The last hearing my daughter was at, her “public defender” said she wasn’t there. While she sat waiting for 3 hours to be called in, they gave her children up for adoption to the foster parents that had them. I no longer get to see my grandchildren, as they belong to others now. My daughter was a fun loving, great mother and now she merely exists. Something needs to be done to protect the families of this and all countries from this children for sale by LEGAL means!

    I am in NV . The same thing is happening to my grandchild. They took her from my home because my son (her father) wouldn’t take a dna test. He did after they took her . He didn’t feel that he needed to until then , he knew he was the father. The caseworker signed her up for an assessment program to see if she was devolping right. She was , they said she was above average. When the assessment team said that the caseworker started asking my 14 month old granddaughter questions that a 3 year old wouldn’t know. 3 weeks later she came and took my granddaughter. Now they say she is having problems learning. This is really destroying me to know what they are doing.

    my son was put on ritalin atr the age of 4 because he was ” too loving and too creative and they couldnt keep up with his energy. he was illegally taken from me in the first place! He was better off with me but they took him because of homlessness instead of helping me out. i am outraged ! Dcf just was afraid of his power and wanted to make him a slave to society! now all i can do is pray that he will be strong enough to keep out of mind control.

    My grandaughter was taken from my son,. When I was told about it, I tried to get custody of her, but legal custody was given to foster people.. They put her on meds to make her act the way they want her to.. I took them back to court and still no custody.. I found out , beause I live in a different state.. But she is still there..How can child services get away with this?

    years ago when i was in the system, i fought dfys(now, o.c.s.) in court, because i was against them giving my son lithium. I showed up in court with pages of proof how dangerous lithium is to young children. my son was only five. they allegated that i did cocaine during my whole pregnancy with my son. which isn’t true. it was a defamation of my character. i lost. they claimed he had behavioral problems due to cognitive difficulties from use of cocaine in my pregnancy. his birth records show that he was born a healthy child and negative for any traces of anything. i would know! i carried him for all those months. it’s been tragedy after tragedy.     The State of California Child Support sent out a notification that cartriges were lost with information about clients. You think they would put a GPS tracking system on the cartriges. They are either STUPID or they are trying to get away with a coverup conspiracy because they have been collecting child support for children who have been adopted out or kids who have run away from foster home and went missing. The parent cannot havve a notice through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children if the child is in the CPS/Court system. What about an amber alert. But the parents and true family is notified when the child is in danger and ran away while they are coming off of psychiatric drugs, Sometimes adult dosages at that. Medication cocktails. Poor kids. Some of them have friends that help them for as long as they can. In the meantime they self medicate with street drugs and alcohol. And what else do they need to do to survive. They are addicted to drugs, they don’t get placed in a drug rehab they are placed in a Psychiatric facility. And if they go through psychosis,suicidal ideation, attempted suicide, violence, misadministration of medications and pscytechs with unprofessional staff who don’t have the temperment for the job tough shit for the kids. There needs to be an investigation of ALL FACILITIES across the United States where these psychiatric DISABLED CONSUMERS shoul be investigated. If they don’t like there jobs they should go to work elsewhere. There are multiple lawsuit settlements. Which came first the lawsuit settlement money or the attorney representation to be able to get the hell out of those snakepits and be able to go to Soteria House or a titration friendly facility and go on with their lives, There is more that enough dinero. Someof thses youth suffer pancreitis and diabetes, these drugs make people obese. Diabetics need several SMALL MEALS A DAY > DO THEY PROVDE THIS? No they don’t. 300 lbs. over weight , diabetic and HUNGRY. Some of them were on psych drugs tried to function never received John Chaffee Block Grant Services only Seroquel and Tenex, and become alcoholics and are going hungry in the streets. Another generation of HOMELESSNESS. Then the kids will look for their true parents and we have to pick up the pices as best we can so that at least they know they don’t have to live on the streets. And some one can at least make bean burritos for you to eat. Oatmeal raisins and peanut butter for breakfast. And still love them no matter what!

    This hits home with me because I remember a time 15 years ago when I was living in a home with foster parents and I witnessed one of the small children in the home being abused. I was 16 at the time and this little guy was only two. He was autistic. My foster parent would give him a nightly dose of benadryl at night (everynight) to make him sleep. Then on one occassion I was home from school because I had my wisdom teeth out, I was allowed to stay home that one day after, and the foster parent slapped that little guy across the face in the bathroom because he bit her while she was brushing his teeth. Just wanted to leave a comment because this brings me back. I knew at that point that people are evil.

    My granddaughter was taken by CPS at age 3. CPS had her on amounts of drugs for a 200lb man.. After a 9 month battle we were able to bring her back home..       One of the doctor’s medical records were falsified by the DA in order to hide the actual amounts of drugs she was being given… The 1 doctor I was able to get investigated by the board lied under oath in court.. He stated that he did not give her any drugs. It clearly shows in the reports that not only did he prescribe them to her but over prescribed them..

    Hi my name is Heather, I am the mother of a 14 year old who was recently hospitalized 4 times in 6 months for manipulative suicide attempts (in other words, she did it to get her way and to get attention), each hospitalization came with a different diagnosis, so far she has been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, borderline personality disorder, bulemia, schitzophrenia, severe depression, anxiety, PTSD, and Poor Impulse control. Her current diagnosis is PTSD and Depression. I believe that 90% of it is an act, I know my daughter, I have been a victim of her manipulation, lies, theft, and verbal abuse since she started junior high school. Since her first hospitalization CPS has been a constant part of our families life. My husband of 12 years and my daughters step father is also battling cancer for the second time in his life. Over the last several months we have been forced to have in home therapy first from 3-5 days a week, then eventually 7 days a week. I called my daughters GAL and explained to her that 7 days a week of in home therapy is too overwhelming and stressful on our family and that even my daughter was being overwhelmed with therapy. Three days later I received a Protection Order filed by the GAL, with no reason why she needed protection from me. She was not taken out of my custody at that time, I was ordered to cooperate with CPS and GAL like I have done throughout this entire process. We went to court 5 days later and the GAL asked that my daughter be put into Foster Care due to my severe mental health issues. I’d also like to point out the fact that the only time the GAL speaks to my daughter is just before court. She makes no regular visits or phone calls to check in with her or to see what is going on with her. I can’t understand where this came from, I have not been diagnosed with any mental health issues. I am disabled from Epilepsy and the GAL has made a huge deal about me having proper transportation for Ali, like I am the only parent in the world unable to drive. So, now she is in Foster Care, and I don’t know what to do. I was assigned an attorney who I have left multiple messages with and he has not returned any of my calls, and now his voice mail is full. I hired an attorney in the beginning of this that just stopped showing up to court. She was paid in full though. I feel like the GAL has a personal problem with me, and my husband. The lack of respect and compassion my family has been shown during the most difficult thing we have ever gone through is just unbelievable. First I find out that my husband is facing life threatening cancer for the second time in his life. Then my daughter starts using self harm as a way to get attention, and I am sure there is something wrong with her besides typical teenage phases but everything has been blown way out of proportion, at no time has CPS or any of her therapists claimed that I am unfit or that my home is unsuitable for my child. I honestly believe this GAL has a personal issue with my family. And over the last 6 months has done everything within her power to destroy my family and tear us apart. I allowed people into our home everyday, while my husband was undergoing chemo therapy, even though he ended up with viral flu 3 times and had to be hospitalized. I was not allowed to live any kind of life at all because my time was spent waiting on pick ups and drop offs sometimes up to 3 times a day because she would come home in the middle of the day for home bound schooling. I feel like they are trying to push me into giving up my parental rights, if I even still have them with her being in foster care. I am disabled, the only family I have is my husband and my daughter and I don’t know where to turn. She is 14, I have raised her with very little help and a ton of resistant from her biological father who is mentally ill and an admitted alcoholic. I have over compensated for his absence, I have been present in my daughters life more than any other parent I know. I don’t understand how this can happen. I didn’t think that good parents could have their children taken from them like this, especially is CPS and her therapists agree that I am a good parent. Their treatment plan did not include her going into Foster Care. Is it unreasonable that the services the forced on us were overwhelming at 7 days a week, this process has been going on for months, the case originally started a year ago, and she was ordered to under go counceling to hold her step mother responsible for the abuse she was inflicting during visits there, which eventually became so bad that my daughter is no longer allowed to go to their home. I have never needed advice and direction more in my life. Nor have I ever been so upset or depressed. I am certain the stress from this will cause more problems to my health, and I don’t understand how they can get away with it.

    In April 1997 my 2 daughters were legally kidnapped from Preschool by the CPS in Ca. And in August They made me tell my son to pack his things and go with them. I had been married to a very abusive man for around 11 years. I had left him at least three times. This last time he had separated my ribs from my sternum. That’s how the CPS got involved. They told me ” you have two choices, 1 You pack your things and go with us and your children or 2 We take your children now with us. Obviously my choice was to leave our place we were renting and go with them. In the battered woman shelter we meet a woman who was one of their caseworkers that by the time we got out of the shelter had been transferred to our caseworker at the CPS office. (Something Fishy) Our time to stay at NEWS ended so they moved us to another shelter. We met a mom and her child that was friends with the family that adopted my daughters. They gave me a list from A-N of things to do to be reunified with my children. One of them was a plan of safety So thinking they meant to divorce my husband, I filed for divorce. When the CPS took my girls my son and I couldn’t afford rent (we were on HUD) we were evicted. They ended up in the same home and I was permitted to see them at times. My son was paced on “Legal Drugs” which is legalized street drugs actually stronger than street drugs. They “labeled” him with depression etc. how can a child not be depressed when stolen from their parents? I still to this day don’t even know what all— my children have been through while living there what I do know is alcohol poisoning and abuse. Every story has more to be said. I want to give hope to all who read this- I have found the Lord is my Comforter . He loves us and is wanting to deliver us from this. He is with us through it all. He is coming soon. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4 He promises a new heaven and earth. Take hope Trust God. Satan is trying to destroy all the blessings of God. By destroying marriages homes families he hopes to cause all to turn against our gracious Saviour who gave His life for us.     No child under the age of 18 should ever be put on antidepressants. Doctors who prescribe them are unethical. If CPS is looking out for the best interest of the child, they should know that, and they should also realize that any child taken from his or her home regardless of the circumstance, is going to be depressed.

    Gail Cordial was named executive director of Florida Partners in Crisis in March, 2009. Cordial brought to the job more than 20 years’ experience in the area of health-related policy and legislative affairs.

    Cordial previously was the Florida and Georgia state government affairs manager for Eli Lilly & Company. In that role, she focused on legislative and regulatory issues in the public health care arena, including access to mental health medications for patients enrolled in Medicaid.

    My son was kidnapped by CWS in June of 2015. Since in their car he has suffered toxic lead poisoning, and six immunizations he should not have had. I can prove they tampered with his medical records, just to do that. After every two doses my son spent a night in the ER and I was never notified. I still have my parental rights. I made a point of letting them know that I know and now they have taken my visits. Please help me save my three year old boy.
