For those of you who have been following this blog you know about this mother and her three children. The good news is that in a county where the unemployment rate is over 12% which is higher than the national average she has finally found employement which was one of the last two things she had to do on her eighth case plan.
She now only has to find housing. The thing is we know what Jackson County DFCS is going to try and pull. They are going to try and yank her parental rights because they have already promised the foster care provider she can adopt the three children. The same three children she made over 16,000.00 tax free on last year. The same children whose slavery in her house and in custody of Jackson County DFCS has given her the tax fee funds to build a new house in Madison County.
Well Ms. Fields, Judge Guidry and all the rest involved. The mother has a job. It is time to help her with housing and give her the children back. She has fulfilled her part of the plan now it is your time for reunification- that is what you are required to do under Title IV funding. Yes, it will mean that you and the court will lose thousands of dollars in a county that is broke, but the children need their mother and she needs them.
