Foster Care Provider In Jackson County Ga. call the shots on visitation for Foster Kids

Alice Samantha Thomason with her children Autumn Destiny DeShawna, Carly Skyler and Sara Louvelle Texanna Wilfawn who were snatched by Jackson County, Ga DFCS to Sell

Today Samantha went to visit her children in yet another supervised visit at the Tree House in Jackson County Ga. She found out several things that were disturbing to her and which she has no control over. The first thing she found out is that Donna Webb the Foster Care provider decided to cancel Samantha’s visit next Monday because she had taken it upon her self to send the three girls to “Church Camp.” She didn’t clear it with Samantha and she didn’t let Samantha know before hand. If she had Samantha could have had a two hour visit today. As it stands now she will have a two hour visit on the 28th. That is the day she goes back in front of Judge Guidry for her appeal in regards to Rebecca Boles with CASA’s recommendation that she lose her rights as a parent.
There are several things wrong with this action. One- if Samantha had cancelled her visit she would not have been able to make it up. If she had been sick she would have been required to have a Doctor’s excuse. Three this is not the first time that Donna Webb has done this. She cancels Samantha’s visits all the time when the family decides to go to Myrtle Beach using the money they make off the backs of Samantha’s children.
Samantha also found out that her oldest daughter Shawna is having some problems. When I asked her if she had spoken to her case worker about it – Samantha said that Felica Johnson the current and newest caseworker had yet to talk to her about anything. When I asked if anything was being done for Shawna – Samantha said that Shawna told her she was taking some medicine.Again Samantha has not been told any of this by her casworker. IT was the same thing when Shawna got a black eye and when Carly got her arm broken. Samantha was never informed until the day of her visit.
What is wrong with this picture? Samantha is the girl’s mother. She is entitled to know what is going on in her children’s lives. She is entitled to her visits without interruption. It appears that Donna Webb the foster care provider is now calling the shots.
When did the foster care provider have more rights that the birth mother? This is just another case of the rights of Samantha’s rights being violated again by Jackson County Georgia DFCS – Felica Johnson the caseworker and Donna Webb the foster care provider.
It is time for Samantha to be given her children back now. It is time for the abuse to Samantha and her children to stop.
