Another Mother’s Day without Her Children- WHY????

Alice Samantha Thomason with her Children Autumn Destiny DeShawna Thomason,Carly and Sara Louvelle Texanna Wilfawn another Mother's Day Apart

Today is May 9,2010 it is Mother’s Day in the United States and in Jackson County Georgia where Alice Samantha Thomason lives and where her daughters, Autumn Destiny DeShawna Thomason, Carly and Sara Louvelle Texanna Wilfawn live. But they don’t live together. Samantha is spending another mother’s day without her children. Jackson County DFCS has decided they can afford to pay a foster care provider over $16,000.00 per year for them to live with her – but yet they can’t and won’t give the children back to their mother and give her that money to help her with housing and a job.
Samantha has done everything they have asked her to do- except find housing and a job. Jackson County is currently at 10.4% unemployment and the national average is at 9.9%. Jackson County’s unemployment rate is higher than the national average. This is criminal.
Samantha has applied for housing and was told that in order to quailify for housing she had to have a job. She has applied all over Jackson County and they are not hiring. Who would be when that county alone is at 10.4%. She is not able to apply outside of the county because she has no transporation she has to depend on her sister who also works. It is a catch 22 situation.
So Samantha spends another mother’s day without her children while the foster care provider racks up money from the state. To add insult to injury the baby Carly broke her arm over Spring break. No on seems to know how or why. The foster care provider was out of the state with the girls on vacation. She waited three days before she took the baby to the hospital. This is the Same Foster Care Provider who was told that she would be able to adopt the girls when she first got them.
The story was she broke it on a jumping pillow. However, there is no proof as to what really happened. There was a request for an investigation but as with all things Jackson County it was not done. However, if it had been Samantha who had waited she would have not only lost her children she would have been arrested.
This is not only wrong- but Samantha was not told anything about it unitl two weeks later the day she was supposed to go to visitation and see the girls. Katie Bice the case worker called Samantha and said “Before you get upset, Carly has a broken arm and Shawan has a black eye.” Samantha was never told until that Monday. Again, Jackson County has shown not only are they part of the abuse, but they also will cover up anthing to keep themselves out from under a microscope.
Samantha has a right to know what happened to her kids, not only does she have a right to know, according to Title IV_E Funding she is supposed to be kept in the loop. She is also supposed to be offered every service to help her get on her feet. That is not being done. No Section 8 housing, no help with enployment, no offer of chlid care, etc. Yes, she is supposed to be offered those things by DFCS. It took a threat of a Judge’s suponea to get the remainder of her girls softball games. Katie Bice, Mary Mahoney and the rest of the folks at Jackson County DFCS are doing everything within their power to fill their coffers. They don’t want Samantha to get her kids back – they want to see Samantha fail (they plainly state that they know parents will not stick to their case plan so reunification is never an issue) – so they can reign in the money to keep from having to take fuloughs, being laid off and all the other things that go along with a State that is broke.
Again, DFCS is selling our children for their gain. It has to stop. It is time to stop the abuse ,greed and corruption that is DFCS/CPS. It is time to uncover the tricks of the trade, the lies and the coverups when they don’t do what is right, when they continue to keep good parents who are just poor down so they can steal the children and sell them.

It is not just mothers that are harmed; Fathers are as well, and in my case CPS actually has believed lies phoned in by a predator that has staled my family for years and not lifted a finger to investigate the truth
