This is a ad for caseworkers in Ga. Read what the job duties include. I have made it bold. WE know that it is a lie. They do not help troubled and out of work families. They snatch and sell the kids. I have also highlighted the salaries for those caseworkers. They can get their bachelors and PHD degrees using Title IV-E Funding. This is an insult to every parent whose child has been stolen.

The Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), is seeking qualified candidates for the position(s) of Social Services Protect and Placement Specialist.

The Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) is the part of DHS that investigates child abuse; finds foster homes for abused and neglected children; helps low income, out-of-work parents get back on their feet; assists with childcare costs for low income parents who are working or in job training; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help troubled families.

Under general supervision, investigates, provides follow-up, or provides adoption and placement resources in cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

Child Protective Services – Our Specialist assess the level of risk to children by conducting face to face interviews with alleged child victims and their caretakers. Other activities in this role may include working with law enforcement and physically removing children from caretakers if the child is found by the Courts to be at risk in the home. This will also include testifying in Court as to the level of risk to children that are placed in the agency’s legal custody. This position may also be subject to on-call scheduling and will require the use of a car for travel.

Foster Care – Our Specialist are the child’s case manager and their main responsibility is to ensure the child has a permanent stable family situation within as short a time as possible. This involves many things: visits to foster homes; supervising visits between children and their parents; testifying in Court regarding the status of the agency and/or parent’s progress towards the court approved placement. This position will require the use of a car for travel and transportation of clients (children).

Social Services Protect and Placement Specialist conduct home visits and field inspections.

Minimum Training & Experience: Our ideal candidate will have:
$32,418 Masters in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university
$30,869 Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited college or university
$29,399 Undergraduate Degree in Behavioral Science from an accredited college or university and 1 year social services experience (paid or volunteer) or DFCS internship
