Injustice taking place by Jackson County DFCS Plus other Counties it is an Epidemic

If you notice the date on this letter which Gov Perdue has on this site you will see it is dated May 2009. I have sent several letters to this office and nothing – nade- ziltch has been done, it has not even been acknowledged. The one and only time I was acknowledged was this way, “We will give your information to the head of DHS and they will follow up. That was two years ago. Yes, there is abuse in Jackson County DFCS, the abuse is the taking of our children, then selling them to the highest bidder because they make money when beds are filled. This type of abuse is rampant all over the country as well as the world. DFCS or CPS or what ever name they go by has way to much power, they have no watchdogs watching them and they are not held accountable, they hide under the cloak of secrecy and so called confidentality. They make impossible demands on the parents so they never get their children back because they get so frustrated they stop trying. They work in collusion with the courts systems and the lawyers. They don’t have to produce discovery under the cloak of “confidentality”. These children are ripped from their families, abused in foster homes then sold to adoptive parents. 90% of these children wind up in the criminal justice system either as juveniles or adults. Many of them wind up as drug addicts because they are placed on psytropic drugs so their foster and or adoptive parents can make more money on them each month. My granddaughter is now on those drugs and she was not evaluated by a specialist in that field. A Regular MD or the school can determine that she has ADHD. That is worse than practicing medicine without a lisence especially since no one knows our family history and the fact that we are very very drug sensitive, to the point that it has cause life and death situations. Who will be held accountable if something happens to her? Will it be called a terrible accident, a tragic mistake or will it just be ignored and no one held accountable? Either way her family loses and she loses and our future loses.
Many of these same children wind up committing suicide before they are grown because they can no longer handle the feeling that they have done something wrong to be ripped from their natural families.

When these children die DFCS covers up their crimes by firing the caseworker hiding evidence and generally refusing to hold themselves accountable for their crimes of abuse.

Who are the perpatrators here? The parents or DFCS?

Below my letter are other letters from Parents crying for help because of the abuse from DFCS the state

I am Begging For your Help

Governor Sonny Perdue

May 20, 2009

Governor Perdue,
My name is Yvonne Mason and last year I wrote you concerning my daughter Alice Samantha Thomason and the loss of her children in Jackson County.

I am coming to you again about this same issue. Samantha has done everything she has been asked to do to get her children back, however, the children’s advocate by the name of Diedrea last name unknown is fighting her.

Sam was supposed to get an appointment with Mental health which she did however, she can only get it in June because they are short staffed. Diedrea has threatened her again with taking her children permantely away from her.

My daughter is at the end of her rope. I fear for her life if her children are not returned to her. She has done everything and then some. I have written Judge Guidry three separate times and have received no repsonse. Samantha’s advocate has not been in concact with her nor helped her to fight for her children. She was not allowed any character witnesses at the hearing and her lawyer is who knows where.

This young woman has fought the system alone. She has been beat up by the children’s advocate, their lawyer and the system. She is a product of abuse by the system. This needs to be stopped now. They are not helping her they are hurting her emotionally and mentally. She needs and loves her children. It is killing her to see them only one day a week for an hour. Her children have suffered emotionally and mentally because they are away from their mother. They have developed mental problems, the oldest one bites herself, and doesn’t do well in school anymore. The middle child who used to laugh all the time now cries all the time. The baby calls her foster mother – mother and the foster mother refuses to allow Samantha to give her children anything.

This is wrong on all levels. Samantha has no resources to help her- she has fought this basicly all alone. She is not desrving of this. Her children have been gone to long and need to be returned to their mother for all their sakes.

I am begging you as the Governor of my home state to please intervine, please get these children back home to their mother.

Last year a child died in Foster Care in Jackson County simply because the mother asked for help and the baby was removed. I don’t want to lose my daughter or my grandchildren I have already lost two- I don’t want to lose anymore.

They need their mother and she needs them.

Please don’t let another day go by without the children going home.

Injustice taking place by Jackson County DFCS

Governor Sonny Perdue

December 4, 2009

Our grandsons are in foster care in Jackson, Co. They were severely beaten by their parents. We have been approved as relative-placement in Stephens County, GA. The children, ages 8 and 9, have attended school since Pre-K here in Stephens County, while in our care. We have approximately 40 affidavits from teachers, principals, recreation department employees, friends, family, and neighbors, all vouching that the children have been with us and that we take very good care of the children, and that the children have a close and personal bond with us. Even after going through the assessment process and being approved, the Attorney Child Advocate will not let us have the children. They have been in foster care since August, 2009. The reason that she doesn’t allow us to have the children is that she doesn’t “like” us! She has stated that if the children remain in foster care indefinitely, then it will “make for an easier transition back to the home of the parents”,(the same parents that have never had any responsibility for the children and that abuse them). Is it the position of the State of Georgia that when dealing with abuse cases that DFCS should keep the children in foster care, rather than to let them be with approved relatives, so that the children will be more receptive of going back to the abuse? If DFCS is correct in believing that a few classes will “change” these parents, then what do they have to lose by letting the children stay with us? Why are they so adamently “fighting and punishing” the family members that love the children, and want them to be with us during this difficult time? These children have no other family that have asked to be relative-placements. How does DFCS have the right to force us, the grandparents that have only been loving and kind to the children, completely out of the children’s lives? DFCS has admitted that this case is “extreme”, but the Child Advocate Attorney from Jackson County Juvenile Court likes the foster parents and she wants the children to stay in foster care. Our grandsons asked us last Sunday, when we spoke with them on the phone,”how much longer am I going to have to be here?”. Also, when the foster parents registered them for school, the teacher of my 9-year old grandson announced to the class that my grandson is in foster care. Some of his classmates began to make fun of him from that point forward. He was devastated. While they were in school in Stephens County, they were more often than not, on the honor roll, the were both in the Search program, and they were both very proud students and felt that they had accomplished a proud stamina in their school. Now, even the C.A.S.A. worker assigned to the case told me that the boys are not making any friends and will not attempt to make friends in their new school. I would love to bring my proof with me and show our evidence to the Governor. Senator Jim Butterworth, Senator Saxby Chambliss, numersous attorneys and counsel have suggested that Governor Purdue should know about what is being done here. There is a great injustice here, and somebody needs to look at what is being done, and help our grandchildren. When we hired an attorney, then DFCS cut our visitation time, and our phone calls in half. Now the children think that we have abandoned them. I know that Governor Purdue will certainly be awestruck and bewildered when he actually sees the facts in this case. Jackson County DFCS has forbidden us to give any gifts to our grandchildren, clothes, shoes, etc.. when we meet with them we can’t even give them a quarter to buy a piece of bubble gum from a machine. Our grandchildren are not allowed to receive mail unless we mail it to DFCS! My husband and I have been the primary care-givers of these children since they were born. We have never abused them, ever. We have done everything possible to help our grandchildren to be productive, moral, and accomplished children. Yet, at the emergency meeting that took place 9 days after the children were taken from their parents, the Child Advocate Attorney called to tell us this: The “abusive” parents want their children to stay in foster care, my husband and I are not allowed to give them any gifts, the children are forbidden to play any video games. The court made these decisions based on what the abusive, and neglectful parents wanted, the same parents that had never wanted the children, and had never taken any interest, financial or otherwise, in their school, or the boy’s education or physical well-being. I have always taken them to the doctor, picked them up from school when they are sick, picked them up from school every day and we had complete financial repsonsibility of all of the children’s needs. My husband and I have never harmed the children and we have not been accused of ever harming the children, however, when we talk to the children on the phone, the foster parents listen in and add to our conversation. We have to talk to the children and the foster parents during our phone calls. We are monitored like criminals. We have been told that they are not allowed to get mail from us. Jackson County DFCS and the Attorney Child Advocate are completely disregarding the entire system and are continuing to punish only our grandchildren and my husband and I. They have taken sides with the abusive parents against us!(we reported and took pictures of the abuse). How can a system that is funded and regulated by the state put the welfare of my grandsons in jeopardy simply because the child advocate attorney dislikes us and the truth that we tell? If you would like a piece of insight into the children’s parents and their lives, go to, or Google my son, Tod Bohannon, and you can read about their interests. My youngest grandson has actually spoken to Charles Manson on the phone. I have contacted Andy Kahn, Victim’s Right Advocate, in Houston Texas and asked for help. He has been advocating against my son and the website for many years, but I have not received any response as of yet. These children were not just “spanked”, they were actually beaten, sent to bed, and then they would be awakened all through the night just to have the “belt scenario” repeated over and over, all night long. Jackson County seems to believe that they have somehow “converted” my son and his wife during this process. Yet, they still claim that this case is “extreme” and that the children will be in foster care, no less than 24 months according to the Child Advocate Attorney. However, if you follow the website, then you will see that they are busier than ever promoting these serial killers and death row inmates. They have even gone and sat in the front row of the executions of some of their “friends” while they were being executed. Jackson County is trampling over my grandchildren’s rights, the child advocate attorney has made this a personal issue against us, so who is watching after the children? Please, we would like to bring our evidence to Governor Purdue. I am satisfied that once he see’s what is going on that he will be as confused and as upset as we are. Everyone that we contact keeps repeating that the State of Georgia owes us an apology. We feel however, that the state owes much more to our grandchildren! Can we arrange a meeting to show you our evidence? We are decent, moral, people. I have 2 degrees from Brenau University and my husband is employed for UHS-Pruitt based in Norcross, GA. We have many, many people that will testify as to our reputation and character. Again, please let us meet with Governor Purdue. We are sure that once he sees the truth, that he will be just as upset about this case as we are. We have told the State DFCS that we do not want any money for taking care of the children, we just want the children to be with their family. When are my grandchildren going to get to be with the family that loves and cares for them? Why does the Child Advocate Attorney for the children have the right to decide the fate of my grandchildren at the emergency hearing and then everyone else just goes along with her biased decisions? Why can’t someone look into this? The entire DFCS system of Jackson County seem to be unable or unwilling to do the right thing. I believe that even Judge Guidry would agree with us, if he were given the truth. We believe that Governor Purdue will not let this type of injustice continue once he has an opportunity to see the facts of the case.

Jasper County DFCS

Governor Sonny Perdue

September 16, 2009

I’m sending this email after mulitple issues with Jasper Count DFCS…My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan (since June 2009) & we have had custody of his 3 year old little boy since DFCS took him from his mother’s care July 01, 2008. We were told she lost him because of under age drinking, instability, and neglect. After we saved enough money and have everything together, we took her to court in April 2009 & my husband was asked why he wanted custody of his son when he was being deployed. We were denied custody for no apparent reason from a Jasper County judge. We were given a court order that his mother could have supervised visits with her son at the Jasper County DFCS office and nothing else. So, she was given a parent aid to transport the child back and forth between places. Now, the begining of this month I was contacted by Jasper Couty DFCS and told I was to let his mother pick him up for the weekend unsupervised or they were going to place him back with her. I took this as a threat and was very upset, since I have a court order stating otherwise. Now, today….his mother shows up at my door with a new cout order and about six police cars saying I was keeping her son from her. After I spoke to my husband he called Jasper County DFCS and was told that if he didn’t like the way they handled things then he could contact Sonny Perdue and tell him that they are so under staffed that they can’t do thier jobs as through as they would like. My husband feels as if he was done wrong because he is deployed and not here to defend his side and he feels that they got tired of the case being open for so long and just closed it. I have multiple emails and voicemails from Jasper County DFCS were I was given a choice on a matter that I actually had no choice. My husband and I are very worried about the safty and stability now of his son. I have had Houston County and Henry County DFCS both wondering why Jasper County is not doing things the correct way and have been told if the case were in either of thier hands, his mother would not get him back due to many reasons. I am sending this email hoping for help because my husband & I are at a loss on what to do now!!

July 10, 2009

10th July 2009

Dear Govenor,

My name is Amanda Marie Hill, I live in Effingham County in Rincon, Georgia. Recently my husband and I brought our 2 month old daughter Violet to Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia to the emergency room because of our concern with her diarhea. When there we expressed concern about her chest congestion and we explained to the on call Doctor that we think she might have caught a virus from recent relatives visiting in town. My husband and i explained that her chest sounded like it had a rattle in it. At that time the took her temperature and discovered she had a fever and the doctor ordered some x-rays of her chest. After the x-rays the Doctor said everything looked normal. My husband asked him to come back to the examination room to hold her himself and listen to see if he could hear it as well. The Doctor did so and asked to have more x-rays be done again. When the Doctor came back he brought two Pediatricians from the ICU and explained to my husband and I that our daughter has two fractured ribs. At hearing this we were absolutely blind-sided by this news. She is our first and only child, naturally we have been very protective of her and had only taken her out of the house once to visit family two days before other than her one week and one month check up to her Pediatrician’s office. We could not believe our little angel was hurt in any way much less in this severe state. We replayed everyday we have been blessed to finally have her with us and nothing could explain why she would have this type of injure at such a young age with no trauma. By State law as you know, the Doctors were obligated to contact Social Services to begin an investigation in which my husband and I were very interested in and very willing to cooperate with. Our ONLY concern is the well being of our daughter, that is why we were there in the first place after all. Violet was admitted into the pediatric icu early 4th of July morning after her release from the emergency room. As you could imagine as a parent it was the longest night of our lives. In the morning hours a Pediatrician from the office of violets doctors office( her doctor was out of town in Australia on vacation) came to speak with us and take a brief look at violet. He mentioned something that was very hard to hear after what we had gone through and that was she could have a rare bone disorder that is in the genes in which also has no cure. He explained that this disorder is more likely to be underdiagnosed than found without x-rays. A rare Bone disease is more likely than any other explaination. Osteogenesis Imperfecta is a genetic disorder that causes many things in the body’s structural make up to be weakend especially bones. People with this disease usually only find out they have it on accident like in cases similar to our story. Needless to say My husband and i are heartbroken hearing that she may have to live with something that impairs her for the rest of her life and she is only two months into it. For the rest of the weekend we were unawares at that time we were being given false hopes of a Doctor who specialized in these cases and that our daughter would be getting the best care and testing available. Later we found out that there is no one in the City of Savannah qualified nor willing to help our daughter. From the moment the Doctors reported to Social Services we were treated as abusers and not fit to even care about our daughters health and finding out what could be causing her fractures. The Doctors seemed more afraid of DFACS than actually overlooking a serious medical condition. This is very disturbing. My faith is great, while pregnant my father Michael Glenn Burnett died of Cancer, my sister Lisa Ann Harris had a stillborn(was to be the first grandchild) my mothers home was forclosed on and her father passed away. Tragedy cannot express the past year. And now this being absolutely the most difficult thing I never thought anything like this could be on the horizon for our new little but significant family. Nieve of these types of situations, we believed everything the Doctors and Social Workers said all weekend long while in the hospital. That is until Monday Afternoon the 6th of July 2009 at approximately 2pm when with no notice no information absolutely no cooperation from the Doctors or Social workers DFACS came in our room and took our daughter based on the x-rays of her ribs alone. All other tests and x-rays everything and everyone that had examined her for trauma in anywhere else were negative. I cannot to this day explain what i felt when i watched my daughter be carried away from me based on the easiest and laziest explaination, child abuse. There has to be a medical explaination to why my daughter has fractured ribs and no one wanted to dig deep anough to find out what for her sake and well being. It was just easier to blame us, who i remind were concerned about diarhea to take her to the emergency room. My husband and I are of humble means but are willing to give everything we have to help our daughter, nothing we have has meaning if we dont have her. Unfortunally, after doing hours and days of research sadly our story is not uncommon.I could list website one after another for you but is that needed is to Google Osteogenesis Imperfecta and you will find our story repeated in some many other families lives across the Nation. I have contacted all of our family and friends and have asked for their prayers, support and any advice concerning this situation. Im not ashamed to tell my story to anyone im fully confident in knowing that my husband and I have done nothing to harm our beloved daughter. Im finding many shocking parallels throughout my Fathers side of the family that are common in this type of disease. Even in myself i have found tell tell signs of this disease and the fact that it is so underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed is troubling that I have never heard anything like this before in my family. I cannot make you fully understand what is in my heart and how i feel, but i know God has a plan and if we never took violet to the ER for diarhea we would never know she is sick. So i am grateful for His grace and i do not fully understand His plan at this time but i believe in the power of prayer and i pray that God open doors that are out of my reach to help my daughter. I ask you as a man in your position to open your heart and let God show you who we are and what can be done to save our family. He can tell you better than I ever could who I am. Thank you for your time and any effort made. I must leave this burden at His alter and let Him move through those He calls to do so. The list below are of people involved in some fashion or another.

One Response to Injustice taking place by Jackson County DFCS Plus other Counties it is an Epidemic

  1. Skip says:

The Governor will not help. I have spoken to two state senators (Georgia), they cannot help. Unfortunately this is a big business that creates a huge money flow (lawyers, judges, case workers, supervisors, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, foster homes). A lot of folks depend on the liquidity of our little ones. The victims of these shameful state practices are for the most part poor and poorly educated. Some of our greatest Americans came from poor families. We should be concerned that these economic times are placing more and more young families into the poverty level thereby becoming new targets. Remember, REAL CHILD ABUSE and NEGLECT should be dealt with quickly by law enforcement through due process and not by a case worker who has spent five minutes on an evaluation. I know that the Catholic Church has has a watchful eye on caseworkers they know to lie and falsify documents against poor migrant families. It has intervened in Candler County to help stop a case worker by the name of Shana Lewis from taking an infant from its mother shortly after birth. A bold nurse at the hospital in Metter caught Ms. Lewis lying which made her back off.

There are ways to prevent these atrocities:
NEVER take your child to a DFCS office. If requested to go in with the children, leave them with a trusted family member. Deception is normally used to make you give up your kids.
Make sure a family attorney is on your child’s school emergency call list with instructions that he or she is to be called if any “official” tries to remove them from school.
Protect your children with your life. If DFCS knows somehow that you are willing and ABLE to protect your family, they will either involve due process (in your favor) or most likely move on to an easier safer target.
Avoid food stamps and other DFCS services. Stay off their radar.

There is strength in numbers. They DO NOT surround us. We surround them!
