This is what I was going to do when the officers showed up at the door after saying they wanted to speak with me. I figured it was unrelated to me as there was often police around the area where i used to live. However once i stepped outside and closed the door behind me and asked how may I help you, they pushed me against the wall and handcuffed me without letting me know why then detained me without giving me a reason while handcuffing my wife and removing her from the home then had us separated and waiting till eventually like a roach crawling out of a bathtub drain CPS showed up to take our week old daughter and despite my requests no warrant was ever shown nor copy of warrant nor did they ever even pay attention to any of my concerns as if I wasn’t even a human worth being answered then I was forced to sign their paperwork upon threat of my daughter being separated forever from me and after my wife unbeknownst to me till that moment, had been secretly coerced to sign paperwork after our daughter was born while I was away using the bathroom. It took 1 yr for us to get our daughter placed with my mother in law and countless hours of traveling all over by bus and on foot all though I’m disabled in order to attend counseling and therapy as part of their treatment plan which I also didn’t get a copy of till after a month or so after my daughter was taken. Had I not been able to attend though I would again be in danger of losing my daughter further. I never got to have any information to my daughters whereabouts nor about the people that were taking care of her. ALL of my caseworkers save one and their direct supervisor, of which i had four(caseworkers) were COMPLETELY ignorant and ghetto and were continuously chastised by the judge. No exaggeration, I’ve found better employees at Mcdonalds then in #CPS_TX during my experience with them. The visitation rooms were FILTHY at their facilities and they looked at me crazy when I didn’t want her to touch anything in the room. The emotional, and in turn, physical pain they caused me as an american and a veteran and a father and a husband and a young man is insurmountable.
